Poster: A snowHead
|
Does anyone have a Beast 16 template that's not the same as the one on Wildsnow?
Ideally measured for a 306mm bsl, but happy to adjust if its annotated similar to those in the TGR thread.
(Alternatively does anyone know someone selling a Dynafit jig for less than retail/Jigarex prices..?)
Thanks.

@fr0sty, I would PM SpyderJon who certainly has the mounting jig, and may be able to offer advice.

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

I can't seem to cut and paste the link, but if you Google 'powderguide beast 16 template' you'll find one.

@fr0sty, I can do you a boot sole length specific template but I know a man who might have a jig for sale.
If you're planning to install QK inserts either straight off or in the future then you need to speak to me on how to adjust the jig otherwise when you adjust the binding to the correct length the upper heel chassis will cover the mounting screws meaning that you'll have to re-adjust the heel length every time you want to remove/re-install the binding which is a real pain.
Any template I supply is good for installing inserts but any others aren't. However Dynafit jigs are designed for use with Dynafit boots and because there's no industry standard for the location of the toe inserts I'd recommend that an actual jig is used as the BSL might not line up with the mounting line on the jig, which is common. Plus you should install the Power Inserts in the boot before clicking the boot in the jig as that adds a mm to the BSL

Anyway, snowHeads is much more fun if you do.
