Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Haute Route Grand Lui - Guide Recommendations

Looking to spend March 2017 in Chamonix and would like to spend a week of that on the Haute Route. My preference is for one of the harder variations (I'm more of a climber than a skier) - preferably the Grand Lui, which eliminates the bus/taxi transfer. While I'll be with friends in Chamonix (all of whom are backcountry experienced), it's likely that I'll be the only one able to commit to the time away for this particular adventure and thus will need to join an existing group.

Does anyone have a recommendation for a guide/company that is likely to do this route?

Hey Alie, I have done several ski touring day trips with Herve, a french mountain guide who guides on La Haute Route. You might want to have a look at the 7-day program he proposes - https://www.explore-share.com/trip/haute-route-ski-tour-chamonix-zermatt/ - He is a great guide, very experienced and super friendly. He travels a lot and so have always great stories to share Very Happy Have fun there !
