Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Belambra acquire 4 popular hotels - Diva, Cachette, Terra Nova, Viking.

Belambra Clubs group have taken over 4 hotels which many snowHeads will know. Diva in Tignes, Cachette in Les Arcs, Terra Nova in La Plagne and Viking in Morzine. I've stayed in the first two of those several times, under previous ownership, and been impressed. Food especially has been very good standard. I've also stayed in a couple of Belambra Club hotels in Les Arcs and Les Menuires. They've been OK IMO but more basic rooms, lower grade food, and edging a bit towards a holiday camp vibe, rather than hotel atmosphere.
If thinking of booking any of these, past customer reviews may not reflect the future. I'll own up in advance to sweeping personal opinion generalisations here! I hope the new owners make a good fist of it.

That's interesting: I know Diva was owned by a subsidiary of TUI (who recently ditched the Curling, also in Val Claret). I wonder if the others were too.

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

It'll certainly be a shame if food standards go down. Stayed at La Cachette a couple of years ago and thoroughly enjoyed the meals there!

@admin, all four were operated by Hotels & Altitude group. Not sure whether they are or were a TUI subsidiary.

Viking was exclusively a Crystal Hotel at one point, stayed there in Crystal's first year (2006 I think).

I loved the alpine restaurant on the ground floor of the Diva, they did Pierre Chaude as a buffet so you could order fondue for 2 and Pierre Chaude for 2 and pig out to your little piggy heart's content Smile (That was for 4 I hasten to add)
