Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Help with new boots?

Hi guys,

Girlfriend has got some new boots from S&R - Atomics, custom moulded shells etc and custom foot beds. Been wearing them for the past few weeks before going skiing and we've notice a problem.

On her right foot she can feel the stitching of the right boot liner rubbing and pressing when she stands, walks, sits etc and its quite uncomfortable. Its at the top of the foot, where the tongue of the boot liner runs along the top of the foot.

Has anyone had this before and can recommend any quick fixes? I'm going to take her back up to S&R on Saturday anyway but before I make the journey has anyone had it before?

Standing, walking, sitting are not skiing. They don't equate so possibly not a problem. Though I wouldn't use snow and brigham to but a pair of boots in general any more, but that's my choice.

Haven't had it before but my quick fix would involve covering the area of stitching that is causing the rub with duct tape

I'd still go back to the shop though - could be that remoulding the liner with a pad in place could help
