Now tell us the truth here, how many Facebook profiles for people called "Annie" with a snowy profile picture have you trawled through?

I dunno it was another "missed connection" some time ago - possibly not Morzine.
Maybe she tours the Alps leaving the flotsam of dying serenades, fractured hearts and fading visions in her wake.

She has your contact details then.
I hear the snow head bashes are a great way to meet fellow single skiers...

1. how on earth do you lose someone's email just because your computer crashed? (Ok it is possible if you constantly download everything from the server and don't leave a copy elsewhere, and don't backup your local copy - in which case you deserve to have lost contact :/ )
2. I'm assuming you didn't lose your actual email address with you computer issues - so she would still know it, and if she really wanted to get in touch with you, she would...
3. The other person on here could well be a wind-up merchant. In any case, unless you're expecting to marry a virgin, or had agreed you two were exclusive, then who cares who she 'met' in her own time?

Jeez, i have copies of every email going back to the start of time, i can delete whatever, wherever and however, but one way or another I could get everything back. (in case gchq, the police, fbi, mi5, mi6 or other security teams are reading, then of course, i don't keep anything and it wasn't me who sent that email, honestly.

I did have correspondence with her for a few weeks after the holiday |
So you didn't lose her email addy because she wrote it down on a scrap of paper and you washed it in your jeans' pocket (cliché alert). You actually used it for weeks but when your computer crashed you couldn't remember it. She couldn't have meant that much to you then .

@philwig, exactly. They're stored online and backed up on your computer or vice versa. If your computer went belly up you'd be able to recover everything. Or if your service went belly up you're backed up on your computer.
I've not worked for a major email provider, but in 15 years of using an online email service I've not lost an email.

Not sure I get your point. I use a hosted exchange service so my emails are all held on the hosted sever as well as local copies on my various devices. It would take a an unbelievable set of circumstances for me to lose all my emails.

Sorry to interrupt the tech talk but "a few weeks of correspondence" means Annie has got his details and is not getting in touch in spite of this!
