I know this section is called "The Piste", but why isn't there a section called "Off Piste"?

Obviously A snowHead isn't a real person

Probably as the management can take no responsibility for any accidents that occur there

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

Yeah, there's be no moderators patrolling it.

I can't imagine a section where Ian would fail to patrol

Anyway, snowHeads is much more fun if you do.

I suppose we could re-name "Other Stuff" as "Off Piste" - is that the sort of content you had in mind snowball?

It's merely a hollow tube - no mechanism

Well, um. not really, perhaps I'll look at that section (much) later (I'm a bit of a monomaniac when the subject of skiing comes up). I just got back from another topic (numbers skiing together) and am off to see what people have said about Avalanches (I was in one a couple of years ago). Excuse me dashing about like this but I just discovered this site and I'm rushing about exploring.
I originally got on here to see if anyone knew a good guide in St. Anton.
Bye again, for now.

If we had an off piste section, would the SC members around here qualify as guides?

Welcome to snowHeads, snowball. It's a curate's egg - very good in parts. Astonishing levels of knowledge (and not only on skiing and boarding) and loads of humour in 'Other Stuff' and it sometimes spills onto the Piste as well

Elizabeth B, this is the only off-piste Ian-H ever does.

Seems entirely reasonable to me
I have been a little way off piste in the past, I did enjoy it but the instructor was a bit vague on how I should handle it...
