Smokin Joe, I went from Donny last season and pretty sure the flight I was on could only be booked through a package, it certainly wasn't available on Thomsonfly website. But I daresay that doesn't apply to all their charter flights.
Sadly the flight I wanted doesn't go from Doncaster this season, I've got to go all the way to Birmingham instead.

Thompson do charter their planes to tour ops, and obviously in winter a lot of these are sat/sun flights to ski airports. However, there are also schedules flights you can buy seats on. Salzburg used to be a popular route, and very cheap out of Coventry Airport last year. Not seen their prices for this year though.
Worth also looking at the likes of Monarch, T Cook Airways and I have used First Choice for flight only before, but thats all part of TUI now. In fact I got my son on a First Choice flight from Manchester to Turin Feb 2008 for £69 return!

Tony_H, They finished flying Coventry to Salzburg last November. I'd booked a flight for March, got my money back and found a cheaper and more convenient flight.
