We are heading out on the 23rd December and then back on the 30th December. Thanks guys!
Train wouldn't be any cheaper would with 5 of us. Rather let the Minibus driver take up the hassle!

The salbach tourist office offers a transfer for €35 per head each way. €65 return. You can find it at www.saalbach.com then click on the holiday shuttle link.

the airport site has links to loads of taxi companies - most have prices for saalbach on them
http://engl.salzburg-airport.com/bus_840.html
Can't remeber which one I used in the end but the 2 or 3 I spoke to were all helpful, although I ended up making the booking in german as the level of english was variable.
You can also checkout the bus transfers at oebb.net

Postbus from Salzburg airport to Saalbach - can't remember the cost of a ticket, but it's probably the cheapest mode of transport.

Download the Salburgh / ZAS timetable, via the above link, to find the Salzburg / Saalbach bus times.

Take a look at Tirol Taxi - I've used them twice and they've been really good. If you google that name plus Lufthansa, you can find a way of getting 10% off.
Looks to be around €300 round trip for a private transfer.

You know it makes sense.

With www.myDriver.com the trip is 150€ from Salzburg Airport to the city centre of Saalbach and you ride in a premium vehicle.
