Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Childcare in La Thuile

We're heading to La Thuile at Easter, and a couple coming with us are bringing their 18 month old daughter. They had hoped to be able to find a creche for her in the mornings so as to do some skiing with the group, then collect her at lunchtime. However they're having trouble finding anywhere that has childminding facilities, so I was just wondering if the good forum could lend any tips?

Dav, A long time ago (7 years!) we used Il Grande Albero nursery which did ages 0 to 3 years. It was very good.

Just giving this thread a bump as we're still having no joy with child care (we've spoken to the place above and they now only cater for locals). I've also got in touch with La Thuile's tourist office. But if anyone has any other recommendations it would be very much appreciated.

Sorry to resurrect an old thread, but @Dav, did you manage to find a child care facility in the end? Searching for Il Grande Albero is no easy task!
