Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Poiana Brasov on Christmas Day?

 Poster: A snowHead
Poster: A snowHead
Hi all!

My husband and I are looking to book an Untravelled Paths christmas break to Romania, which will include 3 days skiing in Poiana Brasov over Christmas.

I'm aware it's a very small resort (this isn't a dedicated ski holiday, but I'm keen to get in a bit of a swish)... does anyone know what the resort is like over Christmas, specifically, Christmas Day?

(link to the package, incase anyone is interested: http://untravelledpaths.com/experience/the-ice-hotel-igloos-poiana-brasov/)

Thanks!

25th should be fine. I'd be more concerned with the 24th (evening) as that's when most of Europe celebrate Christmas.

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

No idea how busy it is at Xmas or when it's open, but you need to go to the Coliba Haiducilor restaurant while you're there! Little Angel

Ah! So, we're unlikely to be able to get something to eat on Christmas Eve? We're staying in a hotel, so I'm guessing some of the services in there will still be available?

If anyone has any information on Skiing/Romania christmas traditions, that would also be good

You'll find that most places will shut early on Xmas eve. Your hotel should be serving meals though. Planning to visit Poiana Brasov in January, something a little different! Brasov town is worth a visit, about 15km down the hill with lots of eating choices.
