When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

French Train strike - Wednesday 30 March to Friday 1 April

The TER website says it's a national strike, but in my experience TGV trains are usually unaffected. Some TER trains will definitely be affected.

But as this is a three day strike it seems it will affect many TGV services this time.

Thank you for the info AndrewsPeppers. Got clobbered by the last French rail strike. Hopefully this time all with be back to normal come Sunday when i travel.

Ah, the French strikes, don't you just love em.

I wonder how many people no longer go to France because of the risk of one of their strikes, and how much revenue they have lost because of them.

It will be the lifties going on strike next..........oh, hang on a minute, they already have.

SNCF strike is over pay. TGVs largely unaffected but all other services will be very limited.
