Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Ridealer shop in Mulhouse

 Poster: A snowHead
Poster: A snowHead
Has anyone any experience of a shop in Mulhouse called Ridealer. I am considering buying an item and having it shipped to the UK but they are asking for payment by bank transfer. Happy to support local businesses but item not available anywhere else.
Many thanks

@Ibexman2, no experience of them, but what are you looking for? Maybe that someone else with little online presence has it.

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

@Dave of the Marmottes, it's becoming more common in Ireland, If banks don't change their policy on charges shops wont take cards. Places are charging 2% on a credit card to cover the costs, if that starts on debit cards it will be back to the days of cash only

Anyway, snowHeads is much more fun if you do.

I'd be concerned their website prominently displays vida/MasterCard and PayPal logos. Why aren't they accepting them?

@Ibexman2, they're cheaper here, although they may not have the right length:

not sure on comparative delivery cost but Achat-ski say they deliver to the UK.

Given that achat-ski are between Albertville and Moutiers you may even find a kind SH in the area that could bring them back to the UK for you. Unfortunately, we're too far away to do it.

There is way too little info (FAQs, etc.) on the Ridealer website in comparison to the Achat-ski one.

A further check (it's snowing, so we're not rushing out!) reveals that Ridealer are not an official Faction retailer. It may be worth contacting Faction directly to check who they think may have some, or asking Achat-ski if they can get them in.

A quick check in our area shows a couple of places that I know have no online presence at all, so phoning round a few may be worthwhile. I'll happily pop into Black Side in Flaine and ask next time we're up there, if that helps.

@sj1608 many thanks for the reply. Faction aren't aware of any left. I'm not going to risk Ridealer so I may have to wait until next season.

@Ibexman2, went into Black Side this morning. As always, they were very helpful, but only had the Candide 2.0s and didn't rate your chances of finding the 3.0s anywhere. I refrained from asking if they were aware of Ridealer!
