Snow Reports
FAQ
Help!!
Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better!
Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Booked flights for me and the OH last night for Friday 30th December 2016 - Saturday 7th Jan 2017 for £100 per person inc baggage to Salzburg. May well stay the first night in Salzburg if 8 nights becomes an issue.
When should I expect apartments and hotels/b&b's to become readily available to be booked as it seems many are yet to post there vacancies to booking.com et al?
Also any recommendations for a decent hotel/pension (b&b or half board) at cheapish prices (less than 70euro pppn) within 2 hours of Salzburg would be most welcome.

@AthersT
, if I was renting next season it would have been booked weeks ago...always the first week to go
Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

@holidayloverxx
, thanks for the help. I booked decent accommodation for last new year (15/16) last July and it appears many properties are yet to post their availability.
I also get the impression this year will be slightly different as the 31st is a Saturday this time round meaning people will need to take more time off work.

@AthersT
, Look at the various Tourist Office websites - e.g.for Saalbach it's
www.Saalbach.com.
Most will have an 'accommodation' link through which you can get a list of available hotels, pensions and apartments.
