Yesterday the Beeb couldn't get enough of Finlay. So why today, on what turns out to be a pretty good weekend for British skiing, do they not even mention Chemmy's name?

They used to put the placings of the British skiers below the top 10 - why have they stopped? OK 11th isn't top ten (just) but it's still bloody good and IIRC Chemmy's best result of the season so far? Is it simply that women's sport isn't as high profile?

Looks like an Austrian came through from outside the televised top 30 to nick 11th, but still, 12th is fantastic, especially after under par performances in the downhills. When I was talking to her in Val in December she was saying just how much she DIDN'T like Super G!

Maybe it'll be on the long Channel 4 thing on Monday night - I'll have to try to remember the video this week. Tremendous result - great stuff.

Hazel Irvine didn't even get to watch the Lauberhorn race, she and her cameraman were actually on their way back towards Zurich airport when the race started on Saturday, it was only due to getting a phone call that they turned arround and came back to interview Finlay, the problem apparently is that they have to set up and edit the show on Saturday night ready for Sunday, however she did say that they would be in Kitbhule (sp?) for the next race. Swiss TV on the otherhand, covered the first 30 on practise day plus teh whole of the downhill and both slalom runs
