Brilliant! Thanks for sharing. Looks like an excellent time, albeit exhausting with all that hiking with skis!

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

Wish I still lived within striking distance - used to do heaps of winter hiking. The one time I've skied at Raise it was brill.

@Kuba, Cheers, it's looking tempting with the temps staying cold. Still best to come up from Greenside Mine ?
@Mike Pow, tempted ?

@Kuba, I ended up ski touring in Snowdonia. I spent all of Sunday trying to decide between the Lakes, Pen y Fan and Snowdonia and fancied trying a new area to me.
Still keen to get up and Ski Helvellyn and would love to ski Catstycam but I fear catching it in condition will be hard.
Some video from Snowdonia here:

@Kuba, Ta, hope to catch up with you in the Lakes or Snowdoina at some point.
By the way, which route did you use to walk to the gully in Snowdonia a few weeks ago ?

@AndAnotherThing, I started from a car park near Idwal Cottage, and followed the path up to the Y Garn. As soon as I got to the the tarn I skinned up along the ridge on the right side of the tarn. I described the trip here: http://uklines.info//place/snowdonia/index.php. Let me know if there is anything more you'd like to know.
