Poster: A snowHead
|
My old pack has broken and I need a new one having looked online the Osprey Kode42 looked good but nowhere seems to have it in stock.
The features that I find useful are
Ability to strap skis to side easily for carrying uphill
Single main compartment
Seperate top compartment
No side compartments
Large enough to carry clobber on plane
Not overlarge for skiing with
Current broken pack is Lowe Crag Attack 40 unfortunately it is broken after only about 5 years usage my previous pack lasted about 20 years.
The other features were good.
Thanks in advance
PS Ideally would like to be able to order it online prior to next weeks trip.

Obviously A snowHead isn't a real person

Dakine Heli pro would tick your boxes and a good sac.

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

@jbob,
Cheers but the largest I can see is 28L which is a fair bit smaller than my current sack, probably fine for skiing but not for when I need to cram stuff in on the plane.

Anyway, snowHeads is much more fun if you do.

Not used any of these, but they match most of your criteria:
Arcteryx Khamski 38
Mammut Trion Advanced 42
Ortovox Peak 45
Mammut Lithium Crest 40

Maybe look at Deuter bags as well, I've got a Guide 35 which I can recommend and would tick all the boxes.

Thanks all, Mrs T Bar went to the shops and ended up buying me a Lowe Airzone, have to see how it does , I can always use it for walking if it doesn't suit skiing.
