Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better!
Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

So I was just bimbling around my friend's garage and came across an absolute mint pair of
K2
Gyrators with Salomon 757 bindings and matching Leki poles. Spotting how my eyes had glazed over he casually said 'Oh, my uncle gave us those, we don't want them. Have them if you want.'
I made a noise along the lines of '
OhGoodnessReallyYesWellIfYou'reSureWhyThankYouOhYesThanksEEEEEEEEE'.
So now I have retro skis. Squeee. They're 200cm and the ends are so curved they could be on a sleigh. Now, anyone know anything about them? Info is appreciated!
I'm not saying I'll take these with me when I do a season but
I definitely definitely will oh gods.
They're so shiny and new. I think my Atomic Alibis are jealous.

A quick Google indicates a 1988/89 model, specifically designed for moguls.
Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

I've picked up some retro skis over the years some very interesting skis,I bought a pair of Miller skis with some sumatic bindings which together makes a interesting package as the skis where claimed to be one of the first powder skis made in around 1972 the model being the Miller soft. The bindings were a very early back country touring binding with unbelievable engineering,the mechanism is a total work of art.
I also have a pair of skis which Fischer couldn't she'd any light on they are called Trumph skis but wear the Fischer emblem I had emailed Fischer for information to their age but they had no info,they have the most shinny Geze lever Kandahar bindings. They had only been used for 2 hours as the owners wife broke her leg on the first time out on them so they never saw daylight again I got them and another pair for the princely sum of £5.

@PowderAdict
, to the extent that skis were specifically designed for anything more specific than skiing in those days...
