Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Hi

We are hoping to get a sneaky weeks, sking in before Christmas, does anyone have any suggestions on where to go, I have found cheap lights to Geneva, so somewhere near there would be good.

We like mainly blue & red slopes, don't mind the type of accommodation , happy to go budget accomodation, as already got a weeks skiing in January & February booked.

Woud like to book ASAP before husband changes his mind, any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

I asked an near identical question HERE for the same weekend and got lots of good suggestions. In the end we've booked Tignes. Not exactly close to GVA but it suits us for a number of reasons.

@Jja, the weather situation for the next two weeks is very uncertain. If you really want to book ASAP I'd pick Tignes. The webcams in areas closer to Gva look enticing at the moment but the FL is going up well over 3000m over the weekend and into next week. If it doesn't come down again fairly smartly a lot of those lower areas are going to look pretty sad by mid December. And a lot won't be fully open, even if the snow stays good, until the Christmas week.

Check out Saas Fee, were going out there the weekend of 12/13.

Just checked the website this morning and they're opening the runs from the glacier down to the village this weekend.

Ryanair flights for that week (12th-19th Dec) showing Stansted - Salzburg return for £36. From Salzburg you have about 40 resorts within 90 mins, many of which are opening this weekend such as Saalbach or Zell am See.
