Great views of Mont Blanc from lots of places in that area - and on several webcams though they're loading v slowly on my system today.

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

You can see it from my bedroom window but is not, I guess, much help. It is quite white if that's what you wanted to know?

I can see it from my bedroom too, but only if I stick my head out.... You can see it from loads of places but the views from the Megeve area are particularly striking (as they are from Les Contamines).

I can sit on my sofa with a cold beer in hand and have a very splendid view:
But that's probably not much help to the OP, so apologies!

@dredgey, It's the dome-shaped summit to the left of your arrow. You can also see it in this webcam:

Again, the dome-shaped summit above the snow covered plateau which is to the left of the Hotel le Prarion

@Chamcham, Thanks, got it! Probably a rookie question, but I just like to get my geography right for when I get there.
Great photo@rob@rar, mine currently is an office window with no beer.

And love to help out and answer questions and of course, read each other's snow reports.

@dredgey, That's a great picture from @rob@rar, but from the south. The view from St Gervais, and the webcam in my link, is from the north

You know it makes sense.

It does look different from other points of view. From my area the part we look at is mostly the Italian side.

Got to own up - on my 1st trip to Flaine years ago: I took loads of fantastic shots of M.B. on my 35mm (film) SLR ... only to find when I got home that I'd forgotten to put the film in the camera!!!

After 20 years of instructors and guides pulling over for the obligatory "..and in the distance you can see Mt Blanc", enough i said, i'll go to Chamonix next time.
Day 1 the guide says "and in the distance you can see the Materhorn"
Guess i make it there eventually.
