Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

The Chapelle piste (the narrow cat-track that leads over to the Marquise chair) has been substantially widened (2-3 times previous width) and the infamous flat-spot has been re-shaped as well.

More snow-making for this winter too.

No, still there. Apparently going to be moved for the new lift station which is due to go in there in a year or so.

Where would it start/finish? To replace Arpertaz? In the middle betwen Les Marquize and Arpetaz?

Chair lift from the black diamond side if the resort would be very welcome. With the shuttle bus from Eco Le Ruitor apparently not running this year I wouldn t fancy the walk up to the nursery slopes every day. Believe it when I see it

Stayed in Le Ruitor this year and only used the bus once. It was as quick to walk (though I only ski in touring boots) unless the bus was there as you walked out of the door.

Ah yes, the lazy bus! Gotta admit, I find that pretty unbelievable! Takes about one minute to walk.

There are no current plans for lifts beyond the existing ski area. The plans for lifts off the back of the Aiguille (vallon de Clou, down towards le Monal) which were part of the resort's original plan have been torpedoed by environmental concerns (it's not national park, the national park is on the other side of the valley, but the area is classified as a nature reserve).

@huggiebear, no, never been plans for lifts there (other than idle chatter).

Way, way back in the early days of the resort, the possibility of lifts up from le Crot / La Masure to where the Marquise is now was considered, even to the point of clear strips being left in the "Foret de Protection", but as far as I know, there are no current proposals for lifts in this area.

Re. the walk up from Bataillettaz, I once accidentally snowboarded onto the balcony of one of the apartment buildings over that way (it was 2 or 3 seasons back when we had a mega snow year and I just rode straight on). That was interesting...

The new lift from the resort up to Cret Serru is to go from Bataillettaz, thus removing any need to walk... but with that said, I've stayed in many big-name resorts (Val d'Isere, St Anton spring to mind) where there was much, much, much further to walk to the lifts than from Battaillettaz. I've just measured the distance at about 250m. A shuttle bus for 250m!!?? 250m! Two hundred and fifty metres! Pure laziness! (sorry, you may note a degree of personal astonishment here!).
