For those in Peisey Vallandry, Villaroger and across on the La Plagne side or planning to explore the whole Paradiski area. Here are a few useful links for you.
Peisey Vallandry Tourist office webpage: http://en.peisey-vallandry.com/winter (All info on this area can be found here!)
Shuttle Bus details: http://en.peisey-vallandry.com/hiver/6-lignes-de-navettes-gratuites.html#.VGMxaqOtg9T
Villaroger Info in English: http://www.villaroger.fr/welcome.htm
Montchavin and Les Coches Tourist Office webpage: http://www.montchavin-lescoches.com/en/winter/
La Plagne Info: http://www.la-plagne.com/en
Champagny Info: http://www.champagny.com/en/winter/
Montalbert Info: http://www.montalbert.com/en/winter/
Hope these links help with anyone planning a trip over the other side. For those coming out for the first time. It is well worth the expense to buy the 'Discovery' Lift pass for the week. It gives you one day on the La Plagne side. Best if you are an intermediate skier or above to get the most out of the day.
Or you might prefer to buy the 'Ski a la Carte' (Holiski pass) which means you get a discount (normally 15%) when you use it and only pay for the section where you ski on the days you ski. You can also use this in Espace Killy (Tignes / Val d'Isere).
Link for ski a la carte: http://www.skialacarte.fr/en
Finally remember with most '6 day and above' Paradiski passes you also get one day in Espace Killy and One day in the Three Valleys included if you want to make the effort to visit another ski area. Plus discounts in other local ski resorts.
More links to follow as I get further info from the resort.

snowcrazy, Thanks for the update and the links. Interesting to note that the telepherique station in Arc 1600 is being reused and tidied up (it has needed it for years), Comborcière is now not for renewal until 2018/9 and that though there is a general increase in accommodation there are no plans to increase the ski area.

snowcrazy, et al Late January, then Easter for us too (accommodation booked, trains waiting on SNCF...) See you on the slopes! ( and now i'bve got this on " my threads"...)
Good news about Combouciere being delayed - keep the bu%%ers off Malgovert for a bit longer.

Thanks for the updates. All booked for the Xmas week in Arc 1950 again.
Anyone know if it's possible to buy (or top up last years) 7day passes online at this point? When I go to the link above it only seems to want to sell a season pass, even though the marketing suggests 10% off normal passes before the end of Oct.

f948lan, Too early, though i do question why people worry about buying before they leave? Why not wait and buy in 1950 when you go, I have never experienced more than a minute or two wait at the ticket office. The only reason we have purchased in advance is if we are taking the overnight train and need the pass for the funi, even then there are ticket offices there. Anyway your call but too early for weekly passes.

thefatcontroller, my main reason for thinking to buy early is they appeared to be offering a 10% discount if you buy before the end of Oct. Also I should be able to top up last years passes and save paying the deposit again, and generally the first morning of getting kids hire gear and of to ski school is enough of a faff without worrying about tickets (queue or not) too.

f948lan, IIRC if you unfortunately can't get them ahead of time, the 1950 office opens late on the Saturday to accommodate those like you who are thinking straight and don't want to be faffing with passes, and rentals, and ski school on the Sunday morning.
All
If you aren't skiing a full week, there is half price Saturday skiing through Samedijeski (A 7 day pass is cheaper than 'SjS +6' - so not worth it unless you are on, say, a long weekend).
However don't forget, if you arrive early doors from the Friday overnighter and want to encash prior to the funicular ride, that the "Lizzard-alike" in the ticket office at the bottom demands a piece of paper per ticket, despite a single signup entitling you to 5 passes.
Just remember to print them all off before you leave home - she point blank refuses to use the photocopier by her elbow, even though the purpose of 5 bits of paper with the same barcode on is.... what exactly?
(the lovely ladies in the Arc1950 office meanwhile just wave you though with a cheery 'bonjour! and no worries about the exact number of bits of processed tree).

I was in Bourg last week and picked up the winter brochure for the coming season. It advertised that ski passes bought in advance online before the end of October get a 10% discount.
When I checked there are discounts on full season passes booked before the end of October, but I could find nothing for one week passes. Anyone know how to get the advertised 10% off for one week passes?
Apologies - just did a bit more searching - saw this message
"If you order before October 31, 2014, the ski area offers a 10% discount. This offer is valid on the entire ski passes sold online, except the tribe packs and family packs. The website is under construction, you will soon order your ski trip, thank you for your understanding."

Looking for information about buying Paradiski ski passes in advance. Considering buying online before the end of October to get the discount - looking at a season pass for me and one week passes for friends.
Season Pass - read that a photo is needed. How does this work in you buy online?
Weekly & season pass - is a deposit needed ? - Can this be avoided by re-using last season's one day passes? Do they charge for delivery to UK ? - or delivery to France ? - or can passes be collected from the Funicular sales office ?
Thanks in advance for any help.

I can update some of the details myself. The Ski Pass website has now been updated and all passes are now available to buy online.
- must create an account when you go through the purchase process
- can choose to have the pass delivered to a UK address for free or pick it up from any ski pass office in Les Arcs
- can buy multiple ski passes in one order
- can select no previous pass - there does not seem to be any charge for this
- for a season pass must upload a photo (no photo needed for a weekly pass)
- they ask for date of birth for each ski pass
This has answered all my questions above - but would still like to hear from anyone who has bought online before for any additional comments.

Have bought and renewed Paradiski season pass for the last 4 years painlessly through this system. The photo bit is easy you are asked to choose a photo from your files, download job done, once in the system it just flows although you have to allow for French quirkiness , the office are very accommodating of English , managed. To arrange free day in 3V before I had started my para pass.. At the moment the deal is amazing but it might be reduced as the season gets closer.
Payment is taken in 3monthly hits no surcharge and carte neige is an easy add on.

Thanks for the link rob@rar, should make for a fun afternoon or two, with the added advantage that my folks can walk over from Vallandry to join some of the activities. I'd seen some info which implied that the pool would also be open during the winter, which don't think it has been before?

Boris, yes, I beleive the plan is for the water centre to be open during the winter season. Last photo I saw the work on the pool looked well advanced, so fingers crossed it is ready for use from December.

Payment on my Jan trip to 2000 due by the end of next week. Will have to engage my flexible friend if I want to avail of the discounted pass as well. Really looking forward to it. Was in les Coches last year, first time in Paradiski, and had my eyes on a tasty black run but it was closed every time I went across. Hopefully it'll welcome me with open arms this year.

Going to Les Arcs in January, question for anyone in the know:
The guy on the phone at the chalet company we're going to stay with, claims that with a 6-day 'Paradiski Unlimited' skipass, you are able to ski for one day in either 'Espace Killy' or '3 Valleys', does anybody know if this is still true for this season?
I've read that it was definitely true at some point in previous seasons, found some info on google about 'Espace Olympique Savoie'... but on the Les Arcs/La Plagne websites there is NO mention at all in the terms/conditions about the 2014/15 Paradiski pass??
We are going to have a hire car and would love to get over to Tignes for one of the days.
Any info would be greatly appreciated!!!
Thanks

boro_dave, The PD Ski Unlimited 6 day pass always used to include a day's skiing in Espace Killy, but I can't see it as part of the offer on the website for this season.
