Help!!
Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better!
Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Hi Snowheads
Now the nights are drawing in and the season is getting closer we thought it was time for an update from Lowther Hills Ski Club on our work on and off the hill.
We've appreciated all the kind comments about the club on the forums and support for our webcam crowdfunder. THANK YOU! If you've seen the fantastic view of the slopes check it out (on a clear day!) at
http://www.skiclub.lowtherhills.com/webcams
We still working hard on the facilities on Lowther hills and as well as a temporary club hut (portacabin!) we've installed a new emergency stop system for tow and with the help of a huge painting party got our engine shed and pylons painted in a smart shade of 'forest green'. We're also working of funding applications for snowfencing and a clubhouse / pistebasher garage.
Last weekend we ran the the very first Lowther Hill Snowball sportive in partnership with the 3 Piste Cycle Sportive Crew to help raise money for a pistebasher
https://www.facebook.com/snowballsportive
We have a crowdfunding pistebasher appeal at
www.gofundme.com/LHSCpistebasher
Anyone donating £25 or over gets a limited edition 'I helped piste Lowther Hill' mug!
We'll post more updates and hopefully some snowy pics from the hill over the coming months
Let's hope for a snowy season with lots of settled weather north and south of the border.
