Poster: A snowHead
|
Hitting Val Thorens in Jan 16 with my brother and staying at "Le Chamois D'Or".
There's a ski shop in the same complex which I think is run by Skimium. (Chamois Sport)
Am I best off pre booking my gear online and taking advantage of the advertised discounts (?) or hitting them with cash on arrival?
The deals look great online with €118 covering the most expensive ski and boot hire option.
First time in Val Thorens so a bit of advice is always welcome!!
I dont want to end up paying through the nose in resort when I could have had it done and dusted months in advance!

Obviously A snowHead isn't a real person

Do you get an extra 10% with a Decathlon card?

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

I've seen that online but haven't looked at a Decathlon card! I'll look at it now.

Loads cheaper to book online vs turning up and paying on the gate as it were...

Anyway, snowHeads is much more fun if you do.

Absolutely. Look for voucher codes, too. I think a Decathlon card only gives you 5%, but still worthwhile.

Meant to add - Ski Republic is often worth a look. Now has a branch in Val T:

Can't seem to find ski+boot packages (may be because I'm on the mobile phone version of the website??) but looks like you can't go far wrong with skis from €74 & boots from €34...
