Barbeque lit.
Lamb marinating.
Birds tweeting.
Virtually all tourists have left...
Bit cloudy so no skiing but some chores ticked off.
Sitting on terrace in partial sunshine - Beer in hand.
I love spring.

Missing the Alps here in Yorkshire Dales but surrounded by 1000 lambs, pheasants in full colour, owls at night, oyster-catchers, lapwings and curlews on the go from 5am summer ain't far away, I love the seasons in UK.

Winter again in the hills today. Heavy showers yesterday and snowed all night in Glencoe. Put down another 20cms so fresh tracks all morning. Well wrapped up in the wind. What a change from Friday. Further to go yet is season.

Think it's been better than the summer of last year!
As last summer did not get days of constant sunshine and warm temps that we've had for the last three four days and it's getting warmer!
Spring ski touring in the morning and then cycling the next day.
In Serre Che all this week we've the 65th ESF Championships with an estimated 5,000 instructors, evidently can get very messy.

@Weathercam, haha, that's from Sunday! The storm last week/weekend was the biggest since October and really refreshed htings nicely.
We also messed up the timing a bit though. Turned around at 10am around 3/4 up as snow and rock started pouring off the walls at the side - I hadn't expected them to get so much sun by that point considering how north-facing it is. Lovely corn on the lower half, but the snow in the actual couloir hadn't had time to transform higher up at the point we turned around.
But yeah, the terrain is epic - and you can see the whole thing from the city.

Currently in Obergurgl, It's been warm but not too warm even at resort level the runs are chopped but soft and not slushy. Typical spring skiing with thaw/freeze keeping the pistes hard in the morning before getting that magic time where it's 'just right'. Find that Hochgurgl's pistes catch the sun ealier on headed over there first thing today near enough.
Cracking resort, feels bigger than the quoted KM's of piste would suggest-piste marking is rather poor to shocking I've found. Guide booked for Thursday and Solden on Wednesday.

Well its Autumn here with lots of leaves changing colour and an early taste of winter yesterday with snow down to lake level and 20+ cms on the mountains. Nearly time to dust off the skis
