Poster: A snowHead

Sorry I know this has been covered before because I've seen a few posts with useful info but I've gone through seven pages of search results and can't find them
Any recommendations for the best way to ship skis home from Italy?
Thanks!

@lynseyf, thanks, have you used them before? they just quoted me £223 to ship one pair of skis with DHL - from previous posts I was expecting about €40 - €50 per pair

Probably any of the big couriers. Ask your most local ski shop who sell stuff online and they can probably help you.

@altis, thanks, that brought up TNT for £55 - I'll try them directly
thanks @clarky999, but don't think any of the ski shops here sell online, they barely have websites!

@moseyp, I shipped 2 pairs of skis, a bike and 2 boxes from Germany to the UK in November for around €150 so I find that really surprising? They don't actually ship them, just collect quotes for you so maybe someone else has stopped cheaper rates since November?

OK, so I realize that there are bulk shipping discounts but how on earth do EkoSport ship skis from France to the UK for £8
