Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Europe to change the ski season???

Quote:
Due to the late arrival of the snows this year and the increasing concerns of global warming the ski commissioners for the EU member states have been meeting to decide how to save the European ski season and they are currently making plans to delay the start of future ski season to January and extend it to the end of May. The new timetable is expected to be enforced from January 2017.

Hoteliers and retailers have been lobbying hard against this as they feel they will lose out over the lucrative Christmas and New Year holidays, however the EU commissioners have suggested that while Christmas can continue to be celebrated on the 25 December, the associated school holidays can be delayed until the start of January to compensate for the delayed opening of ski lifts in the various regions.

The German, Austrian and Swiss commissioners are strongly behind the plan, however the French commissioner, Monsieur Poisson, has shrugged his shoulders at the whole affair and has called it huge waste of resources. He has said that the French resorts will continue with their current ski season and will continue to provide the same levels of service to their visitors.

Whilst the split does pave the way for a wider ski season across Europe, many in the ski community were disappointed with the French statement that their service levels would remain unchanged...

French service levels are magnifique! Look at all the dog pooh they carefully lay out for "Dirty Hopscotch" and the unfailingly polite attitude of, well, everyone, especially the Parisiens.

Who could complain?
