Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Been skiing today at a small slope South Carlton in North(ish) Lincolnshire - there were a lot of sledgers but no skiers, and I got some pretty weird looks!
As for the skiing, the snow cover was ok except where the sledgers had worn a lot of the snow away. There were lots of bumps and I was on my old very old gear so it was a bit hairy, but very fun!!
The only bad bit was having to walk back up to the top. Send me a chairlift please!

crazy_skier_jules, Well done,very jealous wink I'm praying for snow here.Got a nice grassy slope at the top of the road,and some biggish hills only a few miles away.All I keep seeing is weather warnings on the TV,esp the idiots from the AA/RAC.Pack warm clothing and a flask if travelling Confused What about the ski's you morons wink

snowskisnow, LOL!! Been skiing again today too but only get 3 or 4 runs in because it was blowing a freezing gale and chucking it down with rain. Sad Sad Me and my friend (who doesn't ski but sledges) nearl;y froze to death! Skullie was fun still tho, more so yesterday tho. Watch out for the pictures on snowMedia!
Hope everyone else gets enough snow to ski! This is the first time I have skied on real snow in England, excluding Xscape, lol!
