Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

La Grave Guided Groups?

Hi

Off to LDA with family in a couple of weeks, and planning to pop over to La Grave while kids in ski school.

Would be happy skiing the 2 main routes on my own in good visibility (been before with Skiers Lodge and do a lot of ski touring in Scotland) but would need a guide to do anything off the main drag.

Don't really want to shell out €300-€400 by myself for a guide. Anyone know if there are guided groups to La Grave a solo skier can join?

Check with Snowlegend or the LG guides office. I'd be amazed if one of them wasnt running something

You could always drop Pelle an email and see if he could fit you in to a group as you have been with them before and I do know he does that when he's not full.

I could take you touring but time to get from LDA to Galibier sector etc might not be feasible fitting in with kids in ski school etc

LG needs a lot more snow, has to happen ??
