Seriously jealous!!!
Great video to I just wish Go Pros made it look as steep as it actually is.

Yeh, it always looks steepest when you stand and look down from the top.
Steepest, and most narrow part was the gulley after the 'absail' down the rock face. Not sure what the run is called.. should have found out really !
That was when the guide, Mathieu came out with.. 'you must keep it in your mind not to fall' . Good advice.
Btw I have Mathieu's contact details if anyone needs a guide, certainly gave me a great day..
Thanks for the positive comments folks .

@scarbski, good effort!
Most vids of their first trip to LG can be a little bland, (though does depend on the conditions of course) but looks like you scored some nigh on perfect conditions as well as putting together a neat little edit.
+1 for Mathieu though I'm usually with two other far better, skiers so I'm the one hanging out the back as he's trying to get them off his tail.

And love to help out and answer questions and of course, read each other's snow reports.

@scarbski, the steepness can be appreciated from the way your mate is 'propping' himself up against the slope above him before setting off down the couloir.

Really nice video. In tribute I have written the following:
La Voute: a short play in two acts by Gorilla
Gorilla: we have two 30m ropes. You sure that's enough?
Gorilla's companion: yeah, was fine last time.
Gorilla: You sure about that? I've not skied this before.
Gorilla's companion: Yes. Absolutely certain.
Time passes
Gorilla's companion: I've come up four metres short on the ab. You're going to have to downclimb the snowcone to the platform.
Gorilla: FFS. You have to be f'cking kidding me. Why did I leave my f'cking crampons in the f'cking hire car?
Did ab, came up four metres short, downclimb was ok but took a month to fully regain feeling in my right hand caused by using ungloved fingers as impromptu ice-axe.
Enter American guide stage left. Begins lowering clients on Gorilla's group. Poles detach from client's rucksack and head off down couloir narrowly missing @Swirly as he put his tea tray on. Hilarity ensures.
Otherwise the ski was uneventful and was one of the highlights of the week. The atmosphere created by the walls of the couloir is unparalled.
