@joey434, I have no idea about potential area's unfortunately but I can give you a few pointers regarding posting on internet forums.
1. Be as polite and curtious as possible at all times.
2. Use bold and caps sparingly and only when absolutely necessary.
3. Please see point 1 (You generally have to overcompensate as it's difficult to convey things like humour and gratitude).

Isn't it?
I grew up in Northumberland so it really caught my eye when I saw it.
I've done plenty of skiing and hiking and a reasonable amount of climbing and mountaineering. I'd love to be up there in those conditions.
You know it makes sense.

I am 5 mins from that video, the trouble is all my kit lives in France, so when the snow comes I can only go playing in my Landie!
Plus I am too lazy to hike up Cheviot with all my kit!

Yeah but how about you actually help rather than giving a stupid answer. You know exactly what I'm talking about.
Well you sound like a great, big, huggable, bundle of fun, Joey.
@kitenski . . . technically . . . they're on-piste! But how interesting. I never knew such places existed. I'm way to far away to make use of them but I applaud the optimism.
Anyway, snowHeads is much more fun if you do.

They piste some areas, as I found there are plenty of off piste there if you time it right...
@Robsaan,
Weardale Ski Club held a barbecue on the slopes yesterday. They had 2 tows running and 190 metres of vertical to go at on (generally) excellent snow in the sunshine.
We had a great time - so, yes, there is snow in the north east!
We ski toured again there today and had the place to ourselves in the sun.
I'm sure someone will be along soon with photos from yesterday.

Should still be some lines available on cross fell and the Dun fells as well as the Lake District.

Those shots from Mam Tor are epic. Not NE, but Winnats in the Peaks has some great lines in good snow but rarely in condition! I waited years to have the opportunity and conditions to hit it - my first decent was at night midweek in 6" of heavy slushy snow. My mate was in the papers launching a big wind lip on his board! I then repeated the descent in the daylight once it was tracked and icy - not ideal but had to be done. Worth the walk.
@Bergmeister, exactly why i said better heading to the Pennines! When i said NE, i was thinking real NE, Newcastle and above.
And love to help out and answer questions and of course, read each other's snow reports.

All these places are good - Vermont, Maine, New Hampshire... even Massachusetts.

'Cos the larst fing you'd want is to be rabbing showders wiv oww thawse chirpy Cockney sparrer skiers from Durham, Teesside and North Yorks
Meanwhile, here's Black Scar - a very steep off-piste run at Weardale ski area. It's rarely in such fantastic condition. This was in March 2013. Just a shame it's not in the proper north east, it being so far south of Noocarsoo.....
And this one (April 2013) is a fair way to skier's right of the normal ski area:

reminds me of when I arrived at University in Manchester. Went round to a mates flat (from Northumberland) as he was meeting his new flatmates. One Yorkshireman was giving another guy a hard time for being a southerner.
My mate : So where are you from then?
Yorky : Leeds
My mate : Leeds? That's not North!
