Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Hello everyone, I am off to Tignes soon and need some advice on what jacket to buy, I have been looking at several North Face jackets and not sure which is suitable? Firstly I looked at a Mens Kardiak, Triclimate Flashlight jacket RRP £179. Now this does not fall under the skiing section of the website so is it just for walking etc? im not really sure how to attach a picture but if you type the above description in on your browser it will appear.
Any advice is welcome
Thanks

looks OK. Is described in ski terms when I google it. http://www.escape2.co.uk/mens/mens-ski/mens-ski-jackets/the-north-face-mens-kardiak-triclimate-jacket-flashlight-green

Must admit it looks good, the only downsides I can see (compared to a dedicated ski jacket) is that if you are wearing the insulation fitted and you get too hot then the pitzips are not going to be much help, they only go through the shell not through the inner jacket, and the other downside is that I prefer my ski jackets to have a ski pass pocket near the wrist so I can wiggle it near the ski lift barrier to allow me through

@Sack the Juggler, thanks for the advice, I usually attach string to my pocket with my pass on. My other option is the Jeppeson Jacket which is a little more expensive but yes your point about getting too hot is valid. I guess you could take the inner shell off?

@GO1996, yes, you could take the inner off, but sometimes you need it, but I ski hot, very hot, so I usually wear a t-shirt and a windproof jacket with little insulation, unless its very cold, then I wear a proper ski jacket with pitzips.

I like the look of that Jeppeson, I have a salomon jacket with light insulation and pitzips and it looks similar(ish)
