Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Anyone have any experience of these skis?

I tried them out last week, and after a tricky start which I can only relate to a sort of breaking in period, when having thought I'd mastered them, they turned round and well and truly "bit" me in the @rse!

By then end of a week of varied conditions though, I reckoned they were superb and am thinking of taking the plunge and buying a pair. Be good to hear of anyone else's experience of these or any other Head skis.

I've got Head iC170s . I too had a day of breaking in where I thought "what the hell?" but now I love them. Hard, fast and so far able to handle anything I've thrown at them. I've taken them through deep powder, huge moguls and of course the usual steeps. They may be intelligent but they're not yet smart enough to dig themselves out if you lose them in powder. Sad snowHead

Alexandra, they weren't smart enough to warn me of a shelf I approached just before I ejected face planty into a 2 foot drift either. Perhaps the "i" stands for idiot - me Embarassed

I used some iC160's at Easter, and only ended up with them because they didn't have the Scream 8's in my size. Crying or Very sad
So after initially sulking and deciding the Heads were going to be useless I was really surprised.
They were great, really springy turn to turn and turned on a sixpence, great for carving and seemed ok in slopeside powder. Had loads of fun on them and according to the "other half" looked like a different skier - much more dynamic Very Happy

I have some C 140s which are probably not the same series. I'm not a good enough skier to be able to tell the difference really, but my wife looking at video evidence from Les Arcs thought I had improved because of them. Praise from wife about as frequent as England victories in the Caribbean normally.
