Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Piste skis for hard icy conditions, bumps and speed

 Poster: A snowHead
Poster: A snowHead
I have some Rossi S3s that I normally just use for messing around in Glencoe or on the fridge at Braehead. I normally rent my skis when I go abroad but this time I took my S3s which are amazing off the sides, in the deep stuff, crud, chopped powder. However, on the piste they aren't great at speed they are probably wider than I would like for rolling an edge and on icy steep stuff its hard work. I'm looking to buy a secondhand pair (budget) of 2012 - 2013 skis from ebay that are probably the opposite: 70+ on piste and 30- off piste. What would be a good ski? I'm 5'11 205 pounds and probably level 7 looking to get to 8 or somewhere in between. I've never really mastered big bumps or steep icy stuff and want something that will help me get better. I'm looking at some Head Supershape Titans is there anything else I should be looking at.

Thanks,

Unless you want to go racier (probably not) Titans look good. Also maybe similar shapes from any other manufacturer - Blizzard

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

@Flexon, put a 3 degree side edge on your s3's really improves them, just don't go too quick!

I tried a Fischer motive 86 last season, wish i had purchased them now, they were the perfect foil for my s3.
