Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Did not see an ongoing discussion on ooohhhtahh. but will be there in a few weeks. Alta still shows that they will be open, so thinking about bringing the boots and arrive a day or 2 early. Any reports appreciated. In normal years, april can be super stormy, but seems like only the northeast has the cold temperatures. Thanks for any insights.

If you live in the US OP, you must know the entire continent has had a poor season. I've spoken to someone out last week, said cover is fair but depths are poor and no pow. Sadly I booked flights months ago rolling eyes We've nothing booked other than a flight into SLC on the 5th, fingers crossed for some weather!

Yes. Only snow seems to be in my front yard from boston. I have not been following Rocky mountains weather closely and was hoping that things had changed. I will say that April is often a story month so let's hoping for a few dumps before they shut down for the year. Good luck to you. Alta is a Mecca for me, although I want to eventually check out snow basin if I don't always get lazy and just go to Alta.
