Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Me and the missus did the Val de Mesdi two years ago, which was excellent. Just the right level of adventure and commitment. I also had a guided/instructed? day out of Arabba later in the week but it was a bit pants. The guy didn't really know the good bits to go to and I felt a bit short changed by what we did.

So the week after next I'll be doing a day with catores.com in the hope of doing something a bit more couloirish.

If anyone wishes to join me to join me to share the cost then let me know.

Alternatively if anyone has some recomendations of a route to do with the missus sans guide that's similar degree of commitment etc to Mesdi then also let me know.

@TheGeneralist, Have you got Francesco Tremolada's book: http://www.proguide.it/index.php/2009/12/10/freeride-in-dolomiti-ii/?lang=en

Lots of routes, quite a few similar-ish to Mesdi (as well as the Mesdi itself), also a few couloirs. It's well worth picking up when you're out there.

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

That looks excellent. Do you think it's easy to buy in English in Ortisei?

@TheGeneralist, there's just one edition (I think) and it is in English and Italian. I bought mine in the bookshop in Selva (opposite hotel Oswald), I'm sure you'll find it in Ortisei too.
