Poster: A snowHead

Hi,
My flight with Jet2 from East Mids to Chambery was delayed by 7hrs on 1st Feb resulting in me missing my booked Altibus Transfer.
Whilst I cant claim with the airline as the delay was the result of bad weather, I was wondering if anyone has managed to claim back from Altibus, as a result of such as delayed flight ?

Obviously A snowHead isn't a real person

I can't see it was their fault really.
Holiday insurance?

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

Your holiday insurance excess may make it pointless. You could email Altibus and ask. Some companies are understanding.

@snow_badger, Holiday Insurance. Don't forget when applying the excess, it's not just the set off against the Altibus cost but also the actual (additional) costs to get you to the final destination.
You'll probably also be entitled to other delay costs but that will depend on policy and may be subject to separate excess.
Good luck!

Anyway, snowHeads is much more fun if you do.

whilst my excesses are £0, it looks as though the travel insurance will only cover any delay over 12hrs !!

You'll need to Register first of course.

Due to the delay I had to pay out for a private transfer (~200 euros) as there were no other public buses or trains running.

delays into Chambery are so frequent that the companies would probably have to hike premiums to cover a few hours....

@pam w, Very true. Every few weeks they would get an avalanche of claims (pun intended)
