Poster: A snowHead

Does anyone have any recommendations for a ski school in Sauze d'Oulx. It'll be for a beginner adult young lady skier in her early 20s, probably looking at group lessons rather than private. Any advice much appreciated.

look up skiInItaly on web or Facebook. Christine knows everything. Or James at Sauze inline - google him.

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

@Dav, there are two ski schools at the top of Sportinia chair. €160 for six three hour group lessons.

Anyway, snowHeads is much more fun if you do.

If he's still teaching there, the utterly charming and brilliant Corrado is the man to seek out! As old as the hills and cooler than a penguin's pantry.

@Smokin Joe,
I thought there were 3 ski schools there?
My experience was the schools pooled all the customers and depending on their level and language required they were split between the 2/3 schools as appropriate with the most suitable instructor.

There are 4 schools in total who work in Sauze but 2 with bases in Sportinia, known colloquially as blue and red schools. Marco from the blue school was absolutely excellent in some private lessons with my OH (and was recommended by others) while Andrea from the red school is also brilliant. Tbh we have only had good experiences there so you can't go far wrong.

Re-read the OP and both instructors mentioned were excellent in group lessons too - Sergio was also very good from the blue school. One iffy experience for my OH was with the bottom "set" instructor a couple of years ago who was young and wasn't really very engaged but we haven't seen her since. I'd say you'll do well with either school tbh.
