The SnowboardClubUK site (SCUK) has three shots of the inside of the Glasgow (Braehead) Xscape - at a pretty advanced stage before the snow is laid. The photos show the circuits of coolant pipework that lie under the snow to suck heat out of the piste:

It looks like they've learned a lesson or two from the first two. A larger learning area and a constant pitch by the look of it, which keeps learners away from the main slope for longer. Good idea.

I have photos from a few weeks back inside, but had to swear not to make them public! They are due to start cooling the slope area down from around Boxing day, after new year they will run the snowguns with out air to spray water on the chilled glycol pipes to create an ice base to protect the pipes. Once that is around 10cm thick, sometime later in Jan, snowmaking will commence. I know the opening date but...
