Poster: A snowHead

Most standard travel insurance policies have a limit on the length of a trip, or the amount of ski days you can have. Does anyone have any recommendations for companies selling travel insurance for season-long trips please?

@telford_mike, Try MPI. They did me a very reasonable quote for half a season and specialise in seassonaire policies.

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

I bought some for the whole year 2 adults + 3 teenagers EUR130, which is about 100 of your great british pounds.
The company is called Assurensport so you can probably guess their web page ( but if you can't) www.assurensport.com
I can't say if they are any good or not as we have never used their services ( and hope to keep it that way).
6 Years ago my partner broke her leg near the Chaux de Roses chair, we had NO insurance. The bloodwagon cost EUR 200.00, and the hospital fees about EUR1.5K (after 60% social security deduction).

Thanks. That one's cheap but a bit light on medical cover:

Try;
- DOGTAG
- Fogg
- BASI
- BMC
- Snowcard
- Insure & Go
- MPI Brokers
- Ski Club of Great Britain
- ERV
Can't comment on the merits of one over another but they're the list of ones clients have used over the past few years.

@marcellus, tried a few in that list - thanks. Premiums are surprisingly similar. Same underwriter perhaps.

I've used Amex a few times, but I've thankfully never needed to claim so can't say whether they're particularly good or not!

And love to help out and answer questions and of course, read each other's snow reports.

I used ERV. Got the all singing, all dancing insurance which allows off piste without a guide for around £165 for the season. Can't comment how how they are yet!

I don't think DSV (German Sport Club) have a home address location restriction. Their top level cover costs me about €120 per annum for the whole family (2 adults and 3 kids). My daughter was injured training. Blood wagon down was €500, ambulance about €100 and they paid the lot very quickly and efficiently.
