Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Remember you'll need to get the Salzburg Superski lift pass rather than the Ski Amadé one.

Apres in Flachau definitely the DampfKessel next to the Space Jet from 4 until about 8.
After that Downtown/Fire and Ice/Emmas Pub/Hofstadl/ Musistadl all along the main street are all great and go on to the small hours.
As much as it pains me to say this, the apres in Saalbach knocks the spots off Flachau. Drop TatmansTours a pm, he knows ALL the best spots Madeye-Smiley

I was about to say that you've got Saalbach, as well as me, 'bang to rights', but then I thought of the very adventurous off-piste skiing in Saalbach's back country, depicted by Richard Bergenholtz and his Underbar team in the frequent videos posted on Facebook. Lots of waist-deep powder during January!

@holidayloverxx, open to any suggestions would probably go for 4x 1/2 board, easy access to slopes/town with a spa and a well managed friendly establishment with a good reputation for food and hospitality not apartments s/c or outlying places now got to a time in life where comfort is more to the fore

@ski for fun, nearly all of the big ones will fit the bill. Pick a couple and I'll advise on location as some with spas are on the main street and it's easier to get the village shuttle to the lifts. The Lacknerhof meets all the requirements and is very near the achterjet....next to my place. About 10 mins walk to the village but staggering distance from the dampfkessel!

Add the Montana and Vierjahreszeiten, both near the achterjet. Hotel starjet is on the piste near the centre of the village. All have spas or sauna

@ski for fun, flachauerhof probably not as good as the others mentioned, but a good location for the nightlife...a bit of a walk to the starjet lift but not bad. Pongauerhof is between lifts but you can get the shuttle . I don;'t know what "beliezyt" is....

Sorry to gatecrash the thread, what route did you take from Rotterdam? I use the Hull/Rotterdam crossing every season when I drive out, although usually to the Arlberg and takes around the time you've quoted above on a good day. In Obertauern this season and looking at the route back and how long it would likely take, for some reason I was thinking it would be longer and would possibly need a hotel for a night en route, now thinking I might not...
