Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Val Thorens boot fitter or South West UK?

 Poster: A snowHead
Poster: A snowHead
Have signed the family up for our first ever bash this yr on the SFaB and having skied on and off for 20 years think may actually invest in some boots finaly. Never have too much trouble with hire ones but definitely feel they leave a lot to be desired. Add to that my partner had v painful ones this last trip I think it's time as our 2 boys ages mean we're gonna start ski tripping more from here on.

Main question, do people have a reccomended fitter in the South West, I'm near Totnes, Devon. Or one in Val Thoren where the bash is? Are boot prices/ services similar UK Vs resort or is resort mega bucks?

Thanks in advance.

Just found this thread with most questions answered. So just wondering if any rec Val Thorens shop, or perhaps one more time of rental and buy in autumn if stocks/ options running low....

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

I bought my boots from Devonski.co.uk after the first lockdown. I believe that they had to close the shop but may be worth contacting to see what they can offer. They are a husband and wife team who live locally to you and I would highly recommend them.
Alternatively Snow and Rock in Exeter may be worth investigating as they have a fitting service.

The old boy is a wizard if he’s still going. Looks like they’re still delivering the goods based on the last reviews
