Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Val D'Isere Ski School / Instructors

I know there are some SH resident in and a lot of frequent visitors to EK / Tignes / VDI and I'm looking for a recommendation for best (value?) ski school these days in Val D'Isere (its 15+ years since I took any lessons there!)
Will be in town W/C 7th March with a real mixed group that includes a couple of newbies.
They'll have done a few hours in a fridge when we get there but both are looking to ski school.
Decent English instruction, attentive and fun / sunny outlook would probably be the points they'll be looking for. Be great to hear some informed views....

+ 1 for TDC . Kim reconstructed my stuck on a plateau skiing in 3 hours last Jan, so that I ski better as to stance, style and speed. Best however much €s it was I've spent in ages !

Cheers everyone - will certainly look at TDC for the more experienced members in the group. Any more recommendations for 'proper' ski school (6 x half days) for the 2 x newbies? Want to try to make sure the group don't have to spend all their time looking after them Very Happy

The kids went with New Generation at Val, and they've got on well so worth a look.
We took sessions with Steve at TDC too, and we'd recommend them too.

Oxygen didn't seem great, a beginner in our group went with them. They just didn't have enough custom to split a beginner group between abilities, so people who could start doing linked turns were being held up by those who could not do a snow plow turn.

I went with TDC and was the least experienced of the group. The instructor was OK, but as I was always at the back I did not receive much instruction.
