My OH and I are off to Les Arcs 1950 with a group of friends. We're going self-catered and will mostly eat out with the group but fancied somewhere nice one evening for 'date night'
Any recommendations for somewhere date-night suitable (without being too extortionate) either in 1950 or 2000 as we can jump on the cabriolet?
Thanks.

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

I liked La Vache Rouge in Arc 1950 as the food was so good (although we ate there at lunchtime). Le Brasserie 1950 is a smarter place to sit but the food/service were not as good. Avoid the pizza place - Nonna Lisa. There is a smart looking restaurant in the apartment building next to Manoir Savoie but I can't remember its name.

La Table de Lys hit the spot for me last visit for early-doors dinner, just opp the George Brown's bar.

Yes Table de Lys is the place I was thinking of but couldn't remember the name of above. I haven't eaten there but it looked very nice.

+ 1 for Vache Rouge. We had a good meal last year upstairs in Luigi's

@mikeh, +1 for Luigis. Consistently good. Looking forward to trying the Vache Rouge. Saw it last season, but didn't venture in.

Bellieu la Fumée (down the road slightly at Pre Saint Esprit) is one of the top restaurants in the valley. A little spendy though!

Another one for the Savoy in 2000, we've been twice and its been nice both times. Luigi's is also good too

And love to help out and answer questions and of course, read each other's snow reports.

Someone correct me if I am mistaken, but Bellliou la Fumee only does lunch service

You know it makes sense.

A pity the Crepe place closed though, also we've had some good meals in the Perce Neige - noisy but good if you're in a group. We'll try the Savoy when we're out in March following the recommendations here and on the main thread

@Waffle, could be the case in the winter, I've only been in summer.

@FrenchFriesPizza, when are you going?
We always have our wedding anniversary in the Table de Lys... well, alright, strictly speaking, for 5 of the past 10 years: but would have been more had we been in resort on the right day!
If it's a date night you're after, this is the place to go that's local and, always quiet. It's not cheap true, but not "extortionate - as in we consider it value for money. Of course with the £ € at 1.30 right now, it's going to feel even better value too!
@Waffle, correct.
