Help!!
Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better!
Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Ok
Looking at
Volkl
AC30 or Rossignol S3 as options for all mountain skis.
The online reviews give five stars for both so I am looking for a view on best choice.
The AC30 s look the most similar to my 10yr old Bandits and probably the safer bet for what Im used to, BUT, I am looking for something that will flatter me better in the soft stuff and crud, and for that reason the S3s look better???
But what do I know!??
Im a big heavy chap with what I would say as high intermendiate skills, happy on most pistes and get by off piste but not with any kind of style
Help please??

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

ps forgot to say I can be a little lazy and dont always want to be charging around, something that can be skied on tired legs (or more accurately a skier less fit than he should be..)

I've got a pair of AC30's - also a big heavy chap!
They're stiff and can be quite hard work in moguls, but in terms of ride quality and stability at speed for the larger gent they're hard to fault. I'm about 179cm tall and have the 177cm length, would describe myself as high intermediate also.
Would highly recommend them anyway!
