Does anybody know how of an alternative to SnowJapan's forum? It was very informative to us coming to JP sometimes. Some of you have been quite active on SnowJapan forum as well.
Today there was a earthqueke in Hakuba and may be Nozsawa. Damage not quite know yet.

@Hyst, right you are...I didn't spot that as there had been several posts to the forum since then...all by the admin though. Seems an odd choice given that if the site is staying up I'd have naively thought the forums were a marginal extra effort. Guess that makes clear how naive a view that is...

Considering the recent spam snowhead got, and the effort it took admin to fight it, the owner of SnowJapan might decide that's not worth their time?

@Hyst, closed? I've just read their report from Hakuba about the earthquake. Apparently no damage to the lifts.

If anyone feels there may be anything needing doing to make snowHeads a more suitable/accommodating home to those exiled from snowJapan forum, please let me know.
As DSUK discovered some time back, to run a forum specifically for their niche purpose was more trouble than likely gain - however, since we are already looking after so much traffic, their inclusion here under a dedicated header was minuscule effort for us compared to the gain for them.
