Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Ski Hire in Gressoney La Trinite

Hi - Staying at "The Squirrel" hotel at Gressoney La Trinite and looking for Ski Hire. Checked on the internet but only seems to be Ski Hire at Stafal, and I'm not sure how convenient this is for collection and drop off. I would be grateful for advice, as I would prefer to bypass the crystal package. Cheers

there are a couple of hire shops in the 'arcade' area near the St Anna lift. GLT is a village rather than a town, and we had equipment issues hiring last time, although we were in a quiet season and not all the shops were open. If you're particular about what you ski, arrange or obtain before arrival....

David Sport is down by the Puntajolanda lift.

At the Squirrel they lay on a minbus to get you to the lift every morning, and if you ask at the desk they'll explain where the ski hire is.

If you walk to the lift there is another ski hire place........just seeing if I can look it up, which is nearer to the squirrel, on the main road, but you'll still have away to go to get to the lift.

Extreme Sport, popped in there a couple of times (didn't hire so can't comment on that) very helpful. There is a sign outside saying "Noleggio and Ski Service" (I found it on google street view.)

Thanks for that. So far I had only found Ermano (skimium) which is at Stafal which I assume is not really convenient. Cheers Chris
