Driving from the tunnel to Hutten/Leogang (near Saalbach/Saalfelden) on 13th Feb, leaving the French end around 7am local time.
I'm planning on going via Gent, Brusells, Aachen, Koblenz, Karlsruhe, Munich.
But then which way is best?:
1. A12 Kufstein, St Johann, Fierberbrunn, Hochfilzen and over the Greissen pass to Leogang
2. A12 Kufstein, St Johann, over the Strub pass (but on what appears to be a more major road than above) to Lofer, Saalfelden,
3. A8 Salzburg, Reichenhall, over the Stein pass, Lofer, Saalfelden
Also, any comments/suggestions/warnings on my planned route to Munich?

I would suggest option 1. That brings you in at the Hutten end of Leogang. Option 2 would be slightly longer, I think, coming up from Saalfelden. Can't see any advantage in option 3, though I haven't checked the distances. For the first two options, you don't need any vignette for the Austrian autobahn (assuming you exit for St. Johann at Kuftstein Süd).

Hadn't thought of the vignette. Even if I come off at Kufstein looks like I'll be doing a few motorway miles in Austria - is that not the case?
Is the Greissen pass usually open throughout the winter?

Yes, but it is free up until that exit.

If that is the route we came back to Fieberbrunn from with Espri a few weeks ago then if it is closed, I would think any other route to Leogang would probably be as well.

That is correct.
The pass would only be closed in exceptional weather. It is the top of a hill, about 1000 m, but is straightforward as alpine passes go, not particularly steep. Snow is forecast here for Thursday and Friday but I don't imagine there would be enough to make problems on Saturday. Adjust your driving to the conditions and how your car is equipped, though. Skiing should be good

Worked in Leogang for 3 years and have been going for 20 years never really seen the Greissen Pass closed.

4. (from Munich) A8 to junction 112 for Siegsdorf. Siegsdorf - Inzell - Lofer - Saalfelden. Turn right at the roundabout in Saalfelden to Leogang ( not Lofer as I wrote earlier). BTW, turn left at the same roundabout for Maria Alm.
No vignette required.

Anyone reading this thread now should note that since Dec 2013 you need a vignette on the autobahn right from the Austrian border at Kufstein. So to avoid having to buy the vignette you would have to leave the autobahn before the border, e.g. driving through Niederndorf, or use one of the other routes avoiding the autobahn altogether (as suggested by quinton, for example - though he means Leogang after the roundabout in Saalfelden, I think).
