I thought I'd throw this one into the mix. Being based in Dubai, it's always frustrating that even if I could get cheap accommodation and a few days off, the flights to Europe instantly wipe out any motivation to go.
However, I looked at Lebanon last year but they didn't have anything, almost zero snowfall all season.
This year? It has be throwing it down so far. All the resorts are open and it could be an awesome season there if the base can consolidate and it gets regular snowfall.

It could be a great trip. A couple of nights in Beirut - a total party town by all accounts - followed by 3/4 days skiing.
I've loads of Lebanese mates who would so offended if their hospitality was ignored.

Talked to some people who went touring in Lebanon a few years back. They got quite a shock when their guide told them they were skiing over areas which were land mined but the snow spread their weight so it should be OK 
Would love to visit all the same

Anyways - back with the snow reports.
Looks like most of the resorts already had a base of around 50cm, with an average of a metre of snow expected over the next few days. Many resorts are closed due to the excessive snowfall and storms!
Had a look at a bunch of the webcams and most of them are obscured by snow.

weve run across the Lebanese ski team a few times (juniors) and they are a lovely bunch, ok they tend to speak french but not everyones perfect. Well funded as well.
