Has anyone been to any of the resorts in Les Sybelles? We are looking for a cheapie in March as we have heard some favourable comments especially about La Toussuire being family friendly? Any comments would be welcomed.

BeckyBB, I haven't been but friends of mine run the international ski school in Les Toussuires. If you get a chance try for a lessons with Maryline (and say hi from me). She's great, and really nice!! I have heard that it's super family friendly, but I wouldn't count on fluent english all round!! Small and mainly French I should think.

That about sums it up. We've skied Toussouire and Corbieres....both lovely little resorts, very French - a grasp of the language will definitely help in the restaurants. I know people who've stayed in St Sorlin and said it's a great family resort. A much overlooked area on the whole, well worth a visit.

BeckyBB, I'm off to St Sorlin for the February half term although I haven't been before. It is working out much cheaper than the better known resorts especially as I've booked an apartment directly with the owners. St Sorlin looks to be a very traditional village while La Toussuire and Les Corbiers appear to be very modern.

Anyway, snowHeads is much more fun if you do.
