When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Up to 120cm of new snow has been reported in Austria - an exceptional pre-Christmas storm. Avalanche risk warnings of up to 4 (on the scale of 5) are reported in Styria, but a fairly wide area of the country has been blitzed.

Spoke to a friend who is currently skiing Ischgl and he was saying that they have missed 2 days of skiing due to blizzards... at least theres more snow than last year!

All this talk of global warming!!! my flat mate reckons its a load of nonsense, he says that we`re currently living in an ice age due to the fact that the earth is 30% covered by the stuff, who am to argue he`s got one of them enviroment degree thingy magigs!!! long may the snow continue, particulary in whislter!!
